Windows 10: Brand new laptop- Windows 10 Cumulative Update keeps failing (KB4462919)

I bought new laptop 2 days ago.

Obviously as soon as I set it up, it had some updates and most of these worked fine but there is one left that is continuously failing.


This is for the 2018-10 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1803 for x64-based Systems (KB4462919) - Error 0x80070002


Troubleshooting doesn't seem to have helped and I have no idea how important this update is but there is a message to say my device is missing important security and quality fixes. Not sure what else I can do to get the message to clear or to fix this error.

I have a failed and success for 2919 in Settings/Update history:





It's listed in control panel/installed updates fine.
No 3rd party alert in Edge. Everything else seems ok.

 

Cumulative Update for Windows 10 for x64-based Systems (KB3156387) will not install

Anyone else having problems getting the Cumulative Update for Windows 10 for x64-based Systems (KB3156387) installed? This update has been failing for me & doing a failed to update after downloading & reboot, then rebooting & removing the update.

V 10.0 build 10240

Maybe try with the Windows update mini-tool, found here http://www.techpowerup.com/forums/t...dows-10-automatic-updates-and-spyware.218745/ , thanks to Mussels. it installed perfectly for me last night.
