Windows 10: Brightness and NumLock

Hi,

I've just purchased the Surface Laptop 3 and I have some issues.

1. the brightness. I can't seem to be able to adjust my brightness at all which is proving to be an issue with different environments, and also preserving my battery. I've tried doing the whole device management thing and updating and then restarting, but that did nothing and can't seem to find another solution.

2. the numlock. my name has an accent on the first a (Blathnaid), but I have been unable to put that on my name, and similar to the brightness I've gone through the registry edit to change the value to 2, as I've been told to do, but that is also not working, which is going to be an issue when it comes to signing off with my name.

This isn't also necessarily important as it can be worked around, but I've turned on the setting for auto capitalisation at the start of each sentence, but it doesn't seem to be working .

Brightness Control not working in Windows 10

Hi Ella,

To adjust the brightness, see the steps below:

• Go back to Power Options, and tick on the High performance.
• See if you can adjust the brightness.

If this not work, we highly suggest that you create an Administrator account, and re-do the steps above.

Let us know how it goes.

 

Keyboard NUMLOCK


Just reloaded Windows 10 and I can't keep the NUMLOCK on. I have tried many suggestions. I have looked at the registry and it shows on and the bio shows it is on. Any suggestions?

 

Windows10 - numlock not on at startup

Hi guys,

Trick was not really helpful.

After a logon, the NumLock key is now effectively on, but I need this before the logon.

My logon password has digits, and I would need the Numlock key to be «ON» at the logon process.

Is there another way to solve that ??
