Windows 10: Brightness in Windows 10 locked at max

My GPU died. RIP. Now I'm booting my laptop temporarily using the native display adapter, listed as Citrix Indirect Display Adapter in Device Manager. It seems to have the brightness stay at the maximum value and my eyes hurt. I've tried adjusting the brightness in System Settings, Mobility Settings, Ease of Access, and Power Options, but none of them do anything. Anyone have any suggestions for something to try next? I'd like to keep using this laptop for a few weeks until I can source parts and build myself a PC, but I'd prefer to not have to wear sunglasses whenever using it.

On my Dell 5559 Windows 10 , brightness not working.

Have tried few steps from youtube videos but did not work.

Please guide.

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Display brightness at max after 1803 update

Hello!

I upgraded my laptop over the weekend to Windows 10 1803. I noticed my display was set to max brightness. I am unable to use the F keys to lower the brightness. I am also unable to change the brightness in the display settings. My drivers are all updated.
Any suggestions on how to fix this?

I have a Toshiba Satellite with the Intel (R) HD Graphics.
