Windows 10: Brightness not adjustable with Win10?

Halölichen,

I have a new pc with Win10 home. When I started it up, it was too bright for me. So I opened the settings and went to system, then to screen. But now I can't find the brightness settings. :/

How can I adjust the lighting now?

• Were you able to see any error message/ error code with this issue?
• Have you tried to install all the pending updates for drivers and Windows Updates on your device?

This issue might have happened due to corrupted/ outdated drivers.

Adjust brightness settings in Windows 10

I suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it helps.

• Type Settings in the Search bar and then Enter.
• Click on the System and then Notifications and Actions which is available on the Left pane.
• Click on Add or Remove quick Actions.
• In the make sure that the Brightness is ON.
• Then click on the Action Center and adjust the Brightness according to your preference.

Brightness Control not working in Windows 10

To adjust the brightness, see the steps below:

• Go back to Power Options, and tick on the High performance.
• See if you can adjust the brightness.
