Windows 10: brightness problem

Since the latest windows 10 creators update was installed on my hp pavilion laptop I have no controls to enable me to manipulate the screen brightness. There is no longer a button in the quick action centre (used to be a sun & % brightness button), nor is there a brightness slider in the display settings as there used to be. Also, there is no brightness function in the settings 'add or remove quick actions' setting, and nor do the keyboard brightness keys work.


Can anyone relate to this or come up with a fix?

To adjust the brightness, see the steps below:

• Go back to Power Options, and tick on the High performance.
• See if you can adjust the brightness.

If this not work, we highly suggest that you create an Administrator account, and re-do the steps above.

Some computers can let Windows automatically adjust screen brightness based on the current lighting conditions.

To manually adjust the screen brightness, we suggest following these troubleshooting steps:

• Click Start, then select Settings.
• Choose System, then select Display.
• Under Brightness and color, move the Change brightness slider to adjust the brightness.

• Choose Power Options.
