    My Windows 10 Metro UI has replaced the normal start menu

    My Windows 10 Metro UI has replaced the normal start menu and I am perfectly happy to keep the original start menu and do not at all want the Metro UI to be my main start up menu.

    Windows 10 + Metro UI

    I don't like Windows 10's new "Fullscreen start menu" very much. I much prefer Windows 8's Metro UI to this new thing. I am used to scrolling sideways with my finger on my touchscreen rather than scrolling down. I hope in the next major update Microsoft
    adds an option to decide which direction you scroll in the Start menu/screen. Other than this, though, Windows 10 ROCKS. Comment if you agree!

    Unable to enable Start screen Metro UI interface

    Hi,

    I upgraded to Windows 10. The upgrade was smooth and painless. But I see that I have the older Start Menu. I would like to enable the Metro UI also. I googled this and the procedure was to right click the task bar- Properties- and then

    "Uncheck Use the Start menu instead of the Start screen option. To enable the Metro UI, Click
    Apply to accept the changes."

    But I don't see the Start Menu at all. This is what I get. How can I re-enable the Metro UI in Windows 10. Please help.
