    Broadcom wireless adapter cannot start (code 10) after updating windows 10


    Hi all. Need help. I updated Windows 10 but after the restart the Wi-Fi network option disappeared. It looks like the broadcom Wi-Fi adapter cannot start (code 10). How can I fix this problem without the internet (No Ethernet connection on computer).


    Computer is an Asus x205ta.


    Any help would be much appreciated

    Windows 10-Broadcom 802.11abgn Wireless SDIO Adapter

    I have ASUS M81C tablet with system Type: 32 Bit OS and x64 based processor that has Broadcom 802.11abgn Wireless SDIO Adapter Driver version 5.93.103.8 This device cannot Start (Code 10) Since upgrading to Windows 10 I have had this issue, no problems with
    Windows 8.

    Without this I have no way of accessing the internet to update driver, etc. Any suggestions as I am highly frustrated! I have been unable to use tablet for weeks. I have uninstalled and restarted tablet several time w/o success. I have looked through the
    Community without locating a solution.

    Hi Lauren,

    If your Broadcom Virtual Wireless Adapter is incompatible with Windows 10 then I would suggest you to refer the below link and look for the suggestion of Andre Da Costa replied on June 4, 2015:

    Broadcom 802.11abgn Wireless SDIO Adapter is not working

    Hi Tracey,

    Corrupted wireless driver is one of the possible reasons why this issue is happening. We recommend uninstalling the driver to help resolve the issue. Follow the steps below:

    • Open Device Manager.
    • Click Network adapters to expand the list.
    • Right-click Broadcom 802.11abgn Wireless SDIO Adapter, then click Properties.
    • Go to Driver tab.
    • Click Uninstall.
    • Restart your computer.

    Note: After restarting your computer. Windows will automatically install a generic driver on your computer.
