Windows 10: Broken PATH

Ok so I had some issues when trying to install a python library but I was still getting big error messages. The python discord server informed me this is because my PATH is broken

Here is the full error message

& : The term 'C:/Users/NO!/AppData/Local/Programs/Python/Python35/python.exe' is not recognized as the name of a cmdlet, function, script file, or operable program. Check the spelling of the name, or if a path was included, verify that the path is correct and try again. Add a path to $PATH?

what exactly do you need to decipher about that path line? also, what are you installing? perhaps i can help.

If you wanted to start thinking about using Powershell, here's a starter for 10:

It looks as though you could simply define $INCLUDE as you wish.


Then there's pathed which appears to support including semicolon separated lists.

Yeah, I think you're right. I think the purpose of the echo command was to check if ~/bin was in the $PATH file. My problem is that I can't decipher the output and I don't know how to add ~/bin to the $PATH file.

Just for clarification, the snippet of instructions I gave is just a few steps in the installation process. Nothing is actually supposed to be installed with those steps.
