Windows 10: Brother MFC-L5900 admin password...

The MFC-L5900DW, like most printers nowadays, can be managed via a browser. By default, this printer shows the printer status page only; accessing the configuration pages requires the admin password, that by default is "initpass".

This printer is in my home and tried to reset the password to blank, but it does not allow blank password. No, "blank" does not work either as a password, minimum of eight character required.*Rolleyes

This printer is in my home network, behind a hardware firewall. Requiring an eight character password in this network will cause more issues, than it intended to resolve.

Does anyone know how to set a blank password for the MFC-L5900DW?

PS: Whatever password the admin account end up having, it'll be forgotten, if and when it needed. Yes, there's a way to reset the password to the default "initpass", but I'd prefer not to go through this procedure, ever...

Printer installation Brother mfc-L5900

Hello,

I have two older computers and an older Brother MFC printer. I purchased a new Brother MFC-L5900 and tried to install the software, however, it was not compatible with Window 7. So I then install Windows 10 to both computers. I also went to the Brother
website and install the print driver to both computer. I was able to get one of the computers to print but the other wont let me print. I did a wireless setup for the printer, but keep getting an error message every time I print. I run the diagnostic tool
and it finds nothing. The computer recognizes the printer but it wont let me print a test page. Any Idea anyone.

Brother MFC J825DW Printer is Offline


Dangit, Microsoft has messed up my printers once again!

My Brother MFC J825DW (Inkjet) printer won't print because Windows has set it to offline!

My Brother MFC 7460DN (Laser) printer just trucks right along.

Anybody know how I can get my Inkjet Brother back online?
