Has anyone else had their PC utterly killed by the latest updates? And Microsoft doesn't seem to be able to fix it. I'm a freelancer and every day without my computer is lost money and disappointed or angry clients. I can't afford to keep mucking around with "customer service" reps who say they will help you then never call back. What are other people doing?

Yannis, when I tried to reply to you I continued to get a repeated error message and it wouldn't submit. I'm going to try to reply here instead. In fact, this has been happening to me everywhere in the community. Every reply is marked as an error message and won't submit. I have to cancel it or it says I've left a reply window open.

    BUT HERE'S MY QUESTION, YANNIS:

How did you get past the blue screen to boot up and go to updates? then choose to go to previous update? I can't get my computer to boot up. It won't go past the BSOD.

    :)

  3. Repeated failed attempts to install 1809

My Lenovo desktop has repeatedly been trying and failing to install update 1809 since October. The most recent failure was yesterday (20th January) which failed with error 0xc19001e1. Previous (multiple) attempts failed on 14th January with error code 0x80070643.
The last successful update to Windows 10 was a quality update to release 1083 which successfully installed on the 18th January.

The exact messages associated with the last 2 failed attempts to install 1809 are:

Feature update to Windows 10, version 1809

    Failed to install on ‎20/‎01/‎2019 - 0xc19001e1

Feature update to Windows 10, version 1809 (7)

Last failed install attempt on ‎14/‎01/‎2019 - 0x80070643

    Any suggestions?
