  1. BSOD after installing new graphics card

I was looking for a budget PC that could run games with decent graphics. I ended up purchasing a Dell Optiplex 3020 MT to upgrade for gaming. I have since then put a new power supply and graphics card in it. After installing the graphics card, I could play games for about 10 minutes, then I would get the BSOD with either a critical process died error code or a unexpected store exception error code, I was hoping for some help in what is causing these and how to fix them.

    These are the specs:

    CPU: Intel Core i5-4590 @ 3.30GHz

    RAM: 6.00 GB
    GPU: Radeon RX 560 Graphics
    Motherboard: Dell Inc. 040DDP A01
    PSU: INSIGNIA 450-Watt 80 Plus
    HDD: Seagate 1TB

    graphics card problems

    Hi,

Your computer makes a noise or beeps from your internal speaker because it failed to detect the graphics card. What we can suggest is for you to try cleaning your graphics card with a pencil eraser. Here are the steps below:

    • Turn your computer off.
    • Pull out your video/graphics card.
    • Rubbed the cold contacts with soft pencil eraser.
    • Connect your video/graphics card back to the computer.
Kindly note that this is just a temporary fix. If the case still continues, I suggest that you contact your graphics card's manufacturer.

Let us know how it goes.

  3. Issues with new Graphics Card install

    Hi,

Thank you for contacting Microsoft Community.

I suggest you to install the graphic card driver in compatibility mode from the manufacturer’s website and check if the issue persists or not.

Compatibility mode runs the driver using settings from a previous version of Windows.

    Follow the below steps:

      • Select Compatibility tab.
      • Place a check mark next to program in Compatibility mode and select previous the version of Windows from the drop down list.

BSOD after installing new graphics card

Occasional BSOD after installing new graphics card

Recently I installed a new graphics card and RAM into my computer as well as a new fresh SSD. The graphics card and RAM are compatible and I have a big enough power supply for it. Ever since installing the new graphics cards I have been getting BSOD and
the errors seem to point to a driver related issue. I did a clean uninstall and reinstall of my Nvidia drivers hoping it would fix it but it didn't. Also, a few errors ago I had an error that apparently was related to my network driver, which I updated as
well. I am still getting BSOD and my last one was memory corruption related according to a quick Google of the error. When I am playing games that I put on my new SSD, I often get fatal errors and the game crashes. Once again I'm not sure if this is driver
related. The errors and BSOD are not consistent. Prior to tonight I haven't had a BSOD for 11 days. 11 days ago I had about 3-4 in two days. When the blue screens occur I am not doing anything new or different to what I usually do, nor am I stressing out my
PC or graphics card. I am lost as two what driver is causing it, as I have installed fresh Nvidia drivers three times now and that is the only driver issue I would think is the culprit as prior to installing my new card I did not have blue screens (I had faulty
RAM causing boot issues but that has been fixed with the new RAM installed).

Here is my last three minidump files as well as an MSinfo file: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1hUwmsjGhMIP1b8egfPKYEkoFw1zgNR2R?usp=sharing

I would really appreciate help getting this fixed as myself and everyone I know are baffled as to what is causing my random blue screens.
