    BSOD after March 12 Windows 10 update

    I ran into the new and improved BSOD for Windows 10 for the very first time immediately after March 12, 2019 Win 10 update auto installed and I restarted my PC.

    Primarily getting two error codes;

    - 0xc000021a which seems to be consistent with a failed/bad update or bad/corrupt hardware drivers

    - System Restore failure (0x80070003)

    BSOD Endless Loop resolution attempts;

    - Can't boot into Safe Mode

    - Can't return system to any restore point

    - Tried all the Command Prompt recommendations I found online and all of them either fail to run or report no problems

    - Tried all Boot Mode options recommended

    - Bios seems to indicate all related hardware within normal limits but to be sure I selected an option to use default optimal settings

    - Tried using a Seagate Boot Up Disc Utility Disc to try to use included tools to analyse the OS HD. Initial splash screen would not respond to wireless mouse so I had to go buy a wired mouse. That only worked to go to a new menu screen/list for the tools and would not respond to the wired mouse or keyboard after that.

    - Tried booting with the original Windows 10 Home 64 bit installation DVD to use repair options. At this point I can't recall how many repair options were listed if more than one but the one I tried failed to resolve BSOD

    - Disconnected all unnecessary peripherals

    Custom Built PC Specs:

    - Windows 10 Home 64 OEM OS

    - Gigabytes GA-Z170XP-SLI ATX LGA1151

    - Intel Core i5-6500 3.2 GHz Quad Core

    - 64 MB Ram G.Skill Ripjaws V series (4x 16 MB) DDR4-2133

    - Samsung 850 EVO-Series 500GB SSD (C Drive with OS and programs only)

    - EVGA GeForce GTX 950 2GB SSC ACX 2.0 GPU

    I also happened to run a full Windows Defender scan and Super Anti Spyware scan the night before all this happened and both came up completely clean other than the usual tracking cookies that I cleared.

    :)

  3. windows 10 updates-March 2018

    I have March updates that will not install. The automatic updates for 2018-03 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 version 1709 for x64 based system (March KB4088776) were activated and downloaded to my computer, but they will not install on shutdown/restart.
    When I check for updates, it shows that the updates are downloaded, but when I click to uninstall, there is not a date for installation. I have researched the Windows suggestions for this problem. They tell me to remove the January 2018 updates (January
    KB4056892) and then reinstall the March update. When I attempted to uninstall the January update, I could see the update listed in the check for downloads screen, but when I click uninstall, the January update has a different reference number. Please advise.
    I have talked to my technology department and they can't determine next steps either. VERY FRUSTRATING. I need my computer for work.
