No one has a SSD drive similar to mine.

What about a regular drive then? Slower but for test purposes worth a try. You can use Macrium Reflect Free to clone your SSD to the other drive then remove disconnect the SSD and boot from the other drive.

Let me see if I can get an external drive and boot it from there. My laptop is extremely think and only an SSD will fit in.

Ah, didn't consider thinness of the laptop. Booting from an external drive will be very slow compared to the internal SSD, probably totally unusable, rats.

See what SSDLife Free tells you about your SSD. I installed and ran it on mine and got this:

    Attachment 119612

    I just got this

    Attachment 120305

Windows keeps telling me that it is an application issue and not a hardware issue.

After the clean boot and after enabling a bare minimum services to get my work done, the number of BSOD has reduced drastically. This is the most number of days it has run without crashing in a long while. Its crashed only once.

If it goes for a week with no BSOD then follow the instructions here:
    Code:

To Troubleshoot Software Conflicts in a Clean Boot[/quote] to see if you can determine what was the cause and eliminate it so you can return to a normal boot.

I give up. After clean boot, the number of BSOD have greatly reduced, but they do happen at least once a week. But this I can live with.

What is the firmware version of your LIteon SSD.
Did you update the firmware when you were on your previous OS.

There is a firmwareupdate on the DELL supportsite see here (supports windows 7 and 8)http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/...driverId=P0T9J

I suspect that you also can use this one now you are on windows 10.

Check the precise model of your Liteon SSD,( i used the one given by @Ztruker in a previous post)

With Windows 10, I see that Microsoft has a driver for it. I see that it is using a Microsoft driver.

I did not see any hardware issue. After windows was patched recently, the number of BSOD reduced, but I still get those periodically. One observation is that
    • I RDP to this computer from a different one
    • I close the lid and open it and start using without a restarting OS
I consistently get BSOD very soon. Not sure why.
