BSOD around the time I wake it up from sleep

I have tried to the get windows 10 windbg kit to work to look and see what wrong myself but I can't get the symbols to work...

So my problem is that when waking up the computer it crashes about 25% of the time, it used to crash 100% on wake up but I update a problem driver (intel management driver). I dont know what the BSOD is I keep forgetting to take a picture of it. But if you need it I can get it next time I see it.

Also, it might be related, ever since the upgrade to windows 10 my graphics card driver has been crap, it keeps saying that the nvidia kernel has crashed and has recovered while playing games. I have already uninstalled the driver and reinstalled it though nvidia's website but it is still doing it. How would I go about fixing that if that is the issue with the crashing.

    Thank you!

EDIT: I found out how to read the dump file and saw that it has the error "Probably caused by : hardware ( REGION_PAGED_OUT )" FAULTY_HARDWARE_CORRUPTED_PAGE, looked up the generic issue on google and found that others are having the same problem after updating to windows 10. (But I dont think that was the only BSOD error code i got but I dont know how to find other dump files.)

  2. Blue Screen die (BSOD), Windows 10 Professional Laptop Machine

I can confirm that this problem would occur every time I wake the computer up from sleep mode.

After a few seconds waking up from sleep mode, the computer will freeze and then BSOD occurs

    Very annoying.

  3. IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL BSOD in Windows 10 after wake up from sleep

I have this issue with BSOD on my computer whenever my system wakes up from sleep. It usually happen after awhile after wakes up from sleep (sometimes within half an hour or hours of used). If I never sleep my system (meaning always start from fresh restart),
    no issue with BSOD.

    Attached is my minidump file.

    Hi cis190,

Please check {windows partition}\windows\minidump for other dump files.
There are the minidump files usually saved if the settings for it are at default.
Also, there is a memory.dmp file created, but overwritten everytime a crash occurs for saving space.

A 0x12B refers to memory, if there are no drivers in the dump it might be that the RAM is faulty.

MemTest86+ needs to be run for at least 8 passes for conclusive results. Set it running before you go to bed and leave it overnight. We're looking for zero errors here. Even a single error will indicate RAM failure.

Okay I have overclocked my ram a long time ago and i guess upgrading it to windows 10 messed it up so im going to revert it back to stock settings after I get done with the debugging. But now I went and used the driver verifier (as I suspect it is a driver), and it is crashing everytime I boot up, so I switched to safe mode and now am trying to read the newest mini dump file, it says, DRIVER_VERIFIER_DETECTED_VIOLATION, but I dont know which one. I dont think this is right "Probably caused by : ntkrnlmp.exe" should I just upload the minidump file or what should I be looking at. Sorry for trying to do yalls job haha.

    Please reset driver verifier
    • Open an admin command prompt
    • Enter "verifier/reset" (without quotes)

That file is a windows file, without it you cannot boot.

Please use the tool and upload the zip file, if you want I'll guide you through the process *Smile

A Razer driver has been flagged.
Please check Razer for driver updates.
Please make sure only 1 audio device is enabled when plugging your Razer Kraken device (search sound and open it)
Having multiple audio devices enabled could cause BSOD's, speaking from experience.

Okay I have disabled every audio device besides the razor one. There wasn't any driver updates for the razor headset. Would that be causing my games to freeze and nvidia kernel to crash during games?

Also how did you get the "No .natvis files found at C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Kits\10\Debuggers\x64\Visualizers" to go away so you can read the dump? Because mine just says "Probably caused by : ntkrnlmp.exe ( nt!VerifierBugCheckIfAppropriate+3c )"

It is likely the installed software that causes the crash.
    Razer software isn't very stable.

I don't have the windows 10 version of Windbg installed, but the windows 8.1 version.

So I will either have to wait for a driver update or uninstall the software and get a new headset? oh so you can use the 8.1 version on windows 10 dump files?

Can the headset not work without the software?

You can use the 8.1 version on windows 7, 8, 8.1 and 10 dump files.
It is not about the version, but about the symbols.

okay, and no the headset won't work without the razer software, or at least not at full functionality. Thank you though, now i know I need to get a new headset. Or I guess wait until the driver gets updated.

A new headset would be throwing money away when yours is fully functional.
Just use the headset not until there are updates.
