    BSOD Caused by "ntoskrnl.exe" (nt+0x150CA0) on Windows 10

    I keep having the BSOD on my computer about once a day. I have read other posts and are unable to solve the issue. I initially had the issue on my Windows 8.1 system, I then reinstalled Windows 8.1 and still had the issue. I decided to do a clean install of Windows 10 (not an update) and I am still experiencing this issue.

    I have attached my DMPS files as well as the debug zip file that I was told to create from the "BSOD-Posting Instruction" thread.

    What I tried so far;
    - I did multiple memtest and no error was found.
    - I did a system file check (SFC) and Repair system files but this did not find or change anything.
    - I also ran a sea gate hard drive verification and it indicated that all my hard drives were working.
    - I reinstalled Windows and redownloaded all the drivers.

    :)

  2. Recurring BSOD crashes after using specific software (Axure RP Pro)

    The causes of the BSOD's are related to BAD_POOL_CALLER and SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION related to the drivers; ntoskrnl.exe+16c560 and win32kbase.sys

    Blue screen crashes with new pc

    It has been about 2 hours since doing a clean boot and I received a new BSOD:

    This was probably caused by the following module: ntoskrnl.exe (nt+0x16C560)

    Bugcheck code: 0x1E (0xFFFFFFFFC0000005, 0xFFFFF802E8DF8834, 0x0, 0xFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF)

    Error: KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED

    file path: C:\WINDOWS\system32\ntoskrnl.exe

    BlueScreenView highlights ntoskrnl.exe and partmgr.sys as the cause.

    Here is the new Dump file Dump.zip

    BSOD Caused by "ntoskrnl.exe" (nt+0x150CA0) on Windows 10

    The crashes are caused by 3 windows drivers
    disk.sys = Disk Manager
    partmgr.sys = Partition Manager
    atapi.sys = IDE Channel.

    DRIVER VERIFIER

    BSOD Caused by "ntoskrnl.exe" (nt+0x150CA0) on Windows 10 [IMG]
    Warning Please make a backup of your important files and get your rescue media or create one.
    Please create a restore point.
    Please read and run driver verifier.

    Some windows drivers are blamed in a few crashes, but that usually means that a 3rd party driver is actually the cause.
    Driver verifier stresses your drivers and will crash your pc if any driver fails due to a violation.

    Driver verifier should be performed for a max of 48 hours, or when you have a bluescreen, whatever comes first.

    If driver verifier has found a violation and you can't get back into windows normally, try to boot into safe mode and reset in safe mode driver verifier, or in the troubleshooting options open command prompt and type verifier /reset.

    Note Your system will act very sluggishly while driver verifier is enabled, this is normal as your drivers will be being subjected to heavy testing in order to make them crash.

    I ran the driver verifier and my computer crashed again. What do I do next?

    Did you run MemTest86+?
    If so, for how long? How many passes?

  9. sterzian Win User
    Yes I ran MemTest86+ and I left it running for a whole day. I had multiple passes, do not remember the exact amount.

    I think you have a faulty mainboard, please replace your mainboard to see if that helps.

    Okay I really hope that works do not want to spend all that money to get no fix. What would you recommend ? The board I currently have is an asrock z68 extreme3 gen3 which is discontinued.

    If I had to recommend something for you I would have to see all of your specs.
    But I wouldn't trust myself if I had to recommend a replacement for myself, just because I'm terrible with building a custom pc *Redface

    Have you checked your hardware drivers for updates?
    In device manager check the drivers, please update the drivers via the internet manually when possible.
