Windows 10: BSOD/Crashing

On an almost weekly basis my PC will crash and go to BSOD mode. Each time it's a different error. The last two were:

System Service Exception

Special Pool Detected Memory Corruption

I have no idea what either of these things mean. In a tweet exchange with Microsoft Support I was told it was a driver issue. However I've looked over all the drivers and they're up-to-date and working fine.

When BSOD happens more often than not the computer will go through some checking system. When that reaches 100% it'll reboot and come back as if nothing ever happened. The last time Special Pool error it did not reboot. I had to power it off manually. Again PC came back as it was before it crashed. Even browser activity reopened to same point prior to shutdown.

Without having to pay $129 which I can't afford - unemployed I'm hoping someone who reads this can help me out. It would be much appreciated.

Increase the window size step by step and watch your vga temps permanently.
What happens?
If it crashes, run at stock speeds as suggested before and retry.

P.S.: When your system locks, does the display signal turn off after a time?
Stuttering sound or no sound at all when freezing?
What X1800XT model do you own exactly?

 

Random BSOD while browsing internet


BitDefender is nothing special. mwac.sys causes BSODs anywhere.

In that very thread, the suggested action apparently worked.

The storage and network filters of any third party antivirus can cause BSODs. Neither MBAM nor BitDefender is any special. For a regular antivirus, it may be shifted to an alternative; but MBAM has no alternative. So a clean install of the said program is the most feasible first step.
As far as the first step is not failing, it is better to not think for the second step. Because the BSODs are not universal, failure at the first step is not universal; and success at the second step is also not universal.
That is why I posted that my suggestion may work, or may not. Let us see where it goes.

 

all games crash!

ive watch my temps and both the cpu and gpu are within normal ranges. when it freezes it simply freezes the image and stops the sound. i must reboot to get back to windows.
