Windows 10: BSOD "Critical Process Died" when opening a game, Critical error with event ID 41

Hello,


For a couple of days now when I attempt to open any video game, my laptop freezes and it gives me a BSOD 'critical_process_died'. I can use my laptop for everything else. I already updated the display drivers, tried to uninstall the latest Windows update, reset windows keep files option and various other things but with no success. The event viewer details are below and the event viewer also says it created a memory.dmp, which I saved if needed.

BSOD since 23/07, Critical Error Kernel Power- event ID 41

Thankyou very much for your reply. In relation to your first post, I have carried out steps 10-22 (apart from step 15, I will attempt to leave it running with this tonight). The screenshots are attached. I have also uninstalled the programmes detailed above. Unfortunately, as my laptop is a custom built from PCSpecialist, they do not provide BIOS updates anywhere easily accessible. I will phoen them today and see if there are any updates.

Critical Process Died on windows 10 setup

Ive just opened event viewer as you suggested but I cant seem to find any error that says "critical process died"



I have attached a screenshot of the event viewer. I have scrolled to the bottom to where it first booted up.

Ive downloaded the software you sent the link for but I'm not sure how to use it as nothing shows up when I load it.

 

Critical Process Died BSOD While Gaming

When I'm gaming, I get that Critical Process Died BSOD error.

-I reinstalled windows.

-Deleted GPU driver and reinstalled it.

-Ran SFC and DISM.

-Ran virus scan.

-Watched the temperatures while gaming (never goes above 70-75)
