    Dear Ztruker,

    Thanks for all the information.

    Just to update that I installed a Windows 8.1 Professional for the same machine. The system runs well for a few days now. No BSODs are observed. So, I may just stick with Windows 8.1 for this machine from now on.

    Not a bad choice to stay with 8.1. It was a good OS and if it's BSOD free then that's the way to go.
