Windows 10: BSOD dpc dogwatch violation while watching youtube/netflix

I've been getting constant BSODs while watching youtube or netflix. It starts with a loud static noise which makes my laptop freeze; however, sometimes it goes back to normal after a few seconds or it gives me a BSOD. I've tried a lot of things like downgrading Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller and changing my IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers to Standard SATA AHCI Controller, but nothing seems to be working. I even called ASUS helpline and the only thing they said I could do was do a system reset or restore but I was hoping there would be a way around that. Thanks in advance.

BSOD- DPC Watchdog violation

Bought a new HP laptop with Windows 10 two weeks ago. Have been getting the BSOD stating DPC Watchdog Violation while watching Youtube. Also happened once with Netflix. Already tried updating all of the drivers in device manager. Here is a link to my

Stop Error Caused by ntoskrnl.exe

I was watching some normal YouTube videos and then my laptop suddenly went to an OSoD (Orange Screen of Death). The stop error was DPC Watchdog Violation and it was caused by ntoskrnl.exe. This is the third time I have seen this error and they all happened
while watching youtube. This is the first time it has been orange however.

I've already tried to downgrade rtwlane.sys but I'm not sure if I did it right. The driver I chose was under network adapters and was called "Realtek 8821AE Wireless LAN 802.11ac PCI-E NIC". When I did this, it resulted in my laptop constantly giving me BSODs (IRQ_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL) and I couldn't do anything on it. I had to reboot it in safe mode and update the driver back to the original version to stop this. Can you give me step by step instructions on how to safely downgrade rtwlane.sys without this occurring? Thanks

I downloaded a 2016 version of Realtek Wireless Lan Driver from the Asus website (couldn't find any older) and tried downgrading. But like before, as soon as I downgrade, I get constant BSODs with the error: IRQ_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL saying something is wrong with rtwlane.sys. Does anyone know why this keeps happening? It seems like I can't downgrade rtwlane.sys without making my laptop unusable.

 

Could you reinstall the same driver, or if available a newer driver.

 

Ultimately, there is a bug with the driver which needs to be resolved by Realtek or ASUS.

The Realtek drivers for Asus laptops have had a noticeable increase in frequency of BSOD. When replaced with the newest version they had misbehaved, and when rolled back they no longer misbehaved.
What steps had you made?

There were 14 BSOD mini dump files and all displayed rtwlane.sys as the misbehaving driver.

I just uninstalled The Intel(R) Biometric and Context Agent Service but I'm not sure how to install it back.

 

Do you have access to ethernet with a cat 5e cable?
Are you able to turn off wireless and connect to the internet?

Could you check if ASUS has BIOS updates.

 

@axe0, I just updated my BIOS. @zbook, I don't have an ethernet cable but I could get one. I know I could solve this issue by just using an ethernet cable instead of wifi but that's not really a viable option for me.
