Windows 10: BSOD driver_irql_not_less_or_equal (ETD.SYS)

Given that WIndows 10 works perfectly otherwise and I really like the OS, I'd prefer not to. I've emailed the manufacturer to basically tell them to get the finger out and update their drivers for windows 10 seeing as they sell their laptops with Win10 preinstalled. Don't know if anything will come of that.

I don't use the touchpad much, and I'd like to avoid downgrading to an older OS to fix my issue. Can you suggest anyway to avoid this, possibly by removing or disabling the drivers that cause the crashes? I use a USB mouse so I won't really miss the touchpad if it didn't work anymore, I just want the bluescreens to stop.

 

Dell sells laptops with w10 preinstalled too, but that doesn't mean all the laptops are getting support for w10.
If your manufacturer doesn't provide drivers for w10 then your manufacturer doesn't give support anymore for your laptop, calling support would then be useless as you would get the answer that they don't give support for your product.

Simply disabling the touchpad, although there might be some problems as some have mentioned that after a restart the devices were enabled again.
