1. BSOD every few hours or few days - very random

I have been slow to post an update to my issues. As noted in a post approximately 11 days ago, I reinstalled the nvidia k620 4k card with the Windows 10 clean install and things have worked well since then. I had one crash, but unlike all of the other crashes, it showed an error in device manage and I installed what was missing and I have had no problems since. A huge huge thanks to axe0 for his help and persistence in not giving up on my problem, I think I am going to consider this one solved and chalk it up to some problem drivers that were eliminated with the fresh Windows 10 install. .

You are most welcome *Smile

3. Well, I thought things had stabilized, but it still crashes every 3-4 days. Only change is at some point in this time period I installed Spyder5 software for monitor color calibration. I had used Spyder3, but was concerned it was too old. Attached is the dump file. I would appreciate help figuring out what is causing this. All drivers are the latest available.Attachment 40848

The cause is the driver from the Dell Wireless 1703 device.
Please check Atheros for driver updates
Code: *** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for athw8x.sys *** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for athw8x.sys 7: kd> lmvm athw8x start end module name fffff801`b6c10000 fffff801`b7030000 athw8x T (no symbols) Loaded symbol image file: athw8x.sys Image path: athw8x.sys Image name: athw8x.sys Timestamp: Mon Apr 27 04:56:12 2015 (553DA54C) CheckSum: 00411F51 ImageSize: 00420000 Translations: 0000.04b0 0000.04e4 0409.04b0 0409.04e4
5. Thanks for the response. I don't use bluetooth on the computer, so I disabled the Dell Wireless 1703 device. We'll see if that helps. However, in the meantime, I have had two more crashes. The file is attached. They seem different. Any ideas? Attachment 40926

Do you have anything connected to the pc, outside of mouse and keyboard?

7. Lots. I have 10 USB ports, 6 USB 3.0 and 4 USB 2.0. All but 3 of the ports have something attached. There are two USB hubs. One is USB 2.0 and the other is USB 3.0. The USB 2.0 hub has 4 external drives with their own power supply attached. The USB 3.0 hub has two external drives with their own power supply. I have a mouse, a wireless keyboard fob, a film scanner (not turned on) and a Wacom tablet attached to USB 2.0 ports. There is a USB 3.0 card reader attached to the other USB 3.0 port. The only thing added with the new monitor and video card was the USB 3.0 hub. However, it seems to work fine.

I am asking it again because the following makes me curious about extern devices.
Code: fffff803`b2b93728 fffff800`1c580683 USBXHCI!UsbDevice_TransferEventHandler+0x87 fffff803`b2b936b8 fffff800`1c56a932 USBXHCI!Endpoint_TransferEventHandler+0x4e\ fffff803`b2b936c8 fffff800`1c56dddc USBXHCI!WPP_RECORDER_SF_ddddxdLL+0x178
The USBXHCI.sys is a USB driver from Windows.

9. I noticed a reference to that, too. I have run tests on all the usb ports and they all test OK. I think I used the Dell diagnostic. Nothing shows as a problem in device manager either. Other than mouse, keyboard (wireless) and Wacom tablet, it is mostly external drives of various sizes and ages. And also an external card reader.is there something better to run to test usb issues?

These last two rashes reference "hal.dll". I have not seen that before. Not sure what, if anything it means.

Best way to test USB issues is by disconnecting them all and test every connection with a device you know should work.
If there is no problem, 1 or multiple devices is giving trouble.
If there are problems, the USB of the pc is causing issues.

That is an important Windows file, only blamed because it is the last active.
I can garantee you that it is not the cause.

11. Here latest dump files. I had almost all thing USB devices removed. Had three portable USB drives attached directly to compute. No hubs. Attachment 41613

Well, I removed all video driver files and reloaded latest nvidia file. I also installed a new Realtek driver. Unfortunately, it crashed again this this afternoon. Here is the file. Attachment 41961

Please uninstall the Intel software, the driver is not compatible with Windows 10 as the date speaks.

15. I am afraid I don't understand what I should uninstall. What do I uninstall? Also, the RAM is the same as has been in the computer for at lest two years. Although I increased the RAM after I got it, it is the same frequency as originally installed by Dell.
