Windows 10: BSOD in Windows 10

Discus and support BSOD in Windows 10 in Windows 10 Installation and Upgrade to solve the problem; I got a BSOD while using my laptop yesterday.     BSOD in Windows 10


    I got a BSOD while using my laptop yesterday. I tried using Startup Repair, Uninstalling Updates and System Recovery but the problem is persisting. I even tried doing a complete reset through Advanced Options in Startup repair but it didn't work. Finally i installed a new copy of windows through a bootable pendrive completely formatted the previous partitions on the hdd. It works for a while a few mins to about an hour but i get the BSOD again.

    My system details are-

    HP Pavilion Gaming 15 ec0101ax

    Ryzen 5 3550h

    Nvidia GTX 1650

    Windows 10 Home and Student

    8gb RAM

    1 TB HDD WD


    The laptop was bought just a week ago.


    Update : The issue occurs when my device tries to install the display drivers. The error message at the blue screen says-

    Stop Code: VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE


    What failed: atikmpag.sys


    Even tried manual installation of the display drivers. But the same issue occurs again. I am not even able to boot into safe mode.

    The only workaround to boot into windows seems to be reinstalling a new copy of Windows but the same display drivers issue occurs

    Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

    Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
