Windows 10: BSOD IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL "ntoskrnl.exe+28e28d" dump file included

"ntoskrnl.exe" seems to be the issue which could indicate faulty RAM.


I performed the windows memory diagnostic test and memtest86 with no issues found.

I've run sfc scan so I'm pretty confident Windows isn't corrupted.

I've run driver booster and manually checked drivers, doesn't seem to be the issue.


Weirdly enough. when gaming this never happens, ever. Only when browsing on reddit, or watching youtube on chrome, with multiple tabs open sometimes 8+. I have 16GB ram installed so should be sufficient and not cause BSODs.


Anyone got any other ideas to try before I reinstall Windows?

• Update your Realtek audio driver.
• Update your computer.
• Disable overclocking settings.
• Turn off BlueStacks/ another Android emulator.
• Clean your registry.
• Check your disk for errors.
• Fix bad memory issues.
• Remove faulty sticks of RAM.

Hey Luddle!

That's not good. I was hoping your memory would be the issue but I took a moment to analyze your BSOD dump file (thanks for uploading by the way). It also may be an issue with one of your memory ports. I would also suggest pulling out your ram sticks and attempting
to game with either just 1 or two of them installed. (Sorry this isn't an easy issue to troubleshoot and may take some time to pinpoint the problem as I am not physically there).

Please open from the search bar your command prompt as an administrator...then type:

SFC /scannow

This will check for any issues within your file system.

We need to locate the driver(s) causing this issue. I doubt you're running into a power supply problem (and I'm assuming your graphics card isn't faulty). However, if I was sitting there with you I would test another GPU just to be safe. if you do not locate
a faulty ram port (not the stick, the port you place the stick into).

Again, I apologize this may take a great deal of troubleshooting as it would appear the issue is most likely hardware related.
