    Hello,

Attached is the link for both the minidump and memory dump if needed.

I have encountered a BSOD upon boot up today, it is the first time a BSOD has occurred on this computer that is around 1.5 years old since I built it. I believe this issue is some sort of rogue driver, hence I have updated the BIOS to 1802, but I'm unsure if this will make an difference as this issue doesn't occur on every boot. After the BSOD had occurred there was an available update for the ASUS lighting service in the Armoury Crate software, however, I'm unsure whether this could be linked to the BSOD.

I should also mention the issues were coincident with event 161 volmgr and a few event 8193 VSS, however the latter 8193 VSS has been occurring for a long time and has never caused issues with my system, so I believe these may be irrelevant.

    System Specifications:

    Windows 10 Home Version 10.0.19042 Build 19042

Motherboard: ASUS XI Hero BIOS 1802 updated AFTER BSOD

    RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16GB CL3200MHz

    CPU: Intel I7 9700K

GPU: ASUS RTX 2080 updated drivers

    PSU: Corsair RMX 850W

OS Drive: Samsung NVMe 970 Evo Plus 1TB

Two other drives: Samsung 860 Sata Drives 1TB each

    Things I've done since:
Updated BIOS from 1502 to 1802

    Reverted OC Settings

    Disabled Anti-Virus Windows 10 default anti-virus

    Hi Groggubus,

Welcome to the 10forums BSOD just after boot into windows :)

Please remove / disable items from the startup in taskmanager
These programs could interfere with the boot process giving you trouble and increase the boot time.

Daemon tools, Alcohol 120% and Power Archiver Pro uses SCSI Pass Through Direct (SPTD), which is a well known cause for BSOD's.
Please remove Daemon Tools and run the SPTD pass through remover.

    1. Uninstall Daemon Tools
    2. Download the SPTD standalone installer and follow these steps:
      • Double click the executable to open it
      • Click on the button shown below

BSOD just after boot into windows [IMG]

If the button is grayed out, like in the image, there is no more SPTD installation on your system, and you can close the window

Please follow this suggestion for the BSOD
    1. Please open BitDefender and go to the modules,
    2. Go to the firewall settings,
    3. Uncheck 'Block port scans in the network',
    4. Reboot your system <-- IMPORTANT
