    BSOD L1C63x64.sys

Heya guys, this is my first post here *Smile.

I just had like 3 or 4 BSODs in these last two days, never had any. I just updated my Atheros 8151 PCI-e driver from Network adapter->properties->update driver. I'm not sure if it is the cause, so I used the tool and attached the zip to see if you, guys, can help me with this. Everything I can tell you is that I think that most of these BSODs have happened while I was downloading some files, but can't be 100% sure about that.

EDIT: Code of the BSOD was: DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (L1C63x64.sys)

    Thanks in advance.

    :)

  2. BSOD UNEXPECTED_STORE_EXCEPTION Win10

I did as instructed and it worked for a couple of days but I just had another BSoD with the error DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL related to L1C63x64.sys

    BSOD L1C63x64.sys

    Hi Dyph,

    Welcome to the 10forums.

    BSOD L1C63x64.sys [IMG]
Warning Programs that claim to update your drivers install either the wrong or corrupted drivers.
If you have installed any driver with Tweakbit Driver Updater and DriverToolkit, please remove them as it may cause trouble.
With laptops/notebooks, you only need the drivers from your manufacturer.
The manufacturer alter their drivers in such a way that you are forced to use only their drivers.

Please uninstall ASUS software, this software is known for causing BSOD's.

The Qualcomm network driver is causing the crashes because of the date.
It is recommended to check your manufacturers site for driver updates.

    Thanks for the reply.

I uninstalled those programs, but I had BSODs before installing them. I will uninstall asus software too. I updated the network card driver as I explained in the first post (from network adapter properties). Since doing it I havent had any BSOD so far. I will wait 2 days before marking this as solved, just in case. Thanks a lot!

I would not recommend to update any driver through device manager as it'll almost always say the driver is up to date.
It is better to install the drivers from the manufacturer in your case.

I see. The point is that I tried to find it for more than an hour and couldn't find it anywhere (for windows10, i found some for w7). I couldn't even find atheros drivers page. Suprisingly it updated correctly through device manager, I'll see if it keeps going well.
