    BSOD "Memory Management" by corrupt OneDrive.lnk files


    The BSOD with "Stopcode = Memory Management" appears after selecting any drive or "My PC" in the Explorer.

    The memory chips have been checked to be OK, as is the disk as indicated by running 'chkdisk.exe /f /r'.

    However, running "sfc.exe /scannow" in safemode reports corruptions and conflicts of different GUID of OneDrive.lnk files, and says that the errors could not be repaired.

    I uninstalled OneDrive but the problem persists.


    Can anybody help me to solve this problem, other than to re-install Windows?

    Corrupted file RAR

    If the archive has been created using WinRAR, why don't you try WinRAR itself? It has a built-in repair feature for repairing corrupted archive (ZIP as well as RAR). Follow the steps given below:
    • Open WinRAR application in your system.
    • Now click on File tab > Open or simply press Ctrl+O.
    • A small window "Find Archive" will pop up. Locate the corrupt RAR archive from your system directory and select it.
    • Now click Open button.
    • Click Tools tab > Repair archive or simply press Alt+R.
    • Again a small window "Repairing File name.rar" will pop up.
    • Now click Browse to select a location to save the repaired archive.
    • Check the box "Treat the corrupt archive as RAR" and click OK.
    • WinRAR will start repairing of corrupt RAR archive. Once it gets completed click Close.
    I hope the above steps will help you repair the corrupted RAR archive.

    BSOD- memory management

    Upon checking the dump file, the issue is being caused by ntoskrnl.exe. Ntoskrnl.exe is the one responsible for memory management that is why you're having the Memory Management error. We suggest that you follow the steps found in the link that we provided
    in our last reply to resolve the issue. Please take note that if you're overclocking your processor or video card, kindly reset their settings to default.

    Let us know the outcome after performing the provided steps.
