    BSOD - NT Power Kernel - Win 10

    Hi, have done the upgrade from Windows 7 on fairly old hardware I guess now, I think these crashes which are happening at least once a day, random times, sometimes after boot, others after running a while maybe driver related.

    Have attached my DMP files as requested, have had a look in Nirsoft blue screen viewer but it just says its NT power kernel and am not sure that is the cause, maybe just a symptom

    Many thanks for help, know how good you are on here, with these things...

    :)

    Windows 10 compatibility checker shows I have win 6.3?

    Hello,

    OEM Keys

    If it's OEM installed, your product key should be embedded inside the BIOS/UEFI, therefore there shouldn't be any need to find it.

    If you do want your key to keep it safe, try this article: http://www.nextofwindows.com/how-to-retrieve-windows-8-oem-product-key-from-bios

    About Windows naming

    Also, Windows NT 6.3 is the kernel name for Windows 8.1

    XP = NT 5.1

    Vista = NT 6

    Win 7 = NT 6.1

    Win 8 = NT 6.2

    Win 8.1 = NT 6.3

    Win 10 = NT 10 (known before as 6.4)

    Upgrade manually

    If you want to upgrade try the Windows 10 upgrade media creation tool: Download Windows 10
