    Please set up system restore so that it available (3rd method to turn off ) when using windows driver verifier.
    There was information posted on September 25, 2017 in post #12 on how to use windows driver verifier.
    For the Dell diagnostics run the full tests:

    Thank you for the reply. I ran the quick test and full test. No issues present. I have not ran Fumark on my GPU (was waiting for the heatsink to be replaced before I did so), but I did disable the Sound Blaster Audio Service and see if that stabilized things. It did not, but I quickly realized I have a USB Sound Blaster card I was not accounting for. Disabling it (by unplugging), I've not had a BSOD in several days. I will run the driver verifier if another BSOD occurs.

    Well, spit. Everything was running fine until this evening. BSOD while the machine sat idle. I will run driver verifier over the weekend and post its results.

    There was 1 BSOD mini dump and when debugged it displayed FAULTY_HARDWARE_CORRUPTED_PAGE (12b)This bugcheck indicates that a single bit error was found in this page. This is a hardware memory error.

    Bugchecks have been:

    1) post a kernal memory dump into the thread:
    C:\Windows\MEMORY.DMPUse file explorer > this PC > local C: drive > right upper corner search enter the above to find results.

    2) There was a memtest86+ version 5.01 performed 6 months ago for 8 passes.
    Please perform a repeat Memtest86+ version 5.01 for 8 or more passes.
    Memtest86+ - Advanced Memory Diagnostic Tool
    Memtest86+ - Advanced Memory Diagnostic Tool
    It sometimes takes passes into the 20's to find malfunctioning RAM.
    Just 1 error is a fail and you can abort testing.
    Then test 1 RAM module at a time in the same DIMM to different good from bad RAM.
    When Memtest86+ version 5.01 has completed 8 or more passes please use a camera or smart phone camera to take a picture and post an image into the thread.

    3) Please complete the Memtest86+ version 5.01 testing before using Windows driver verifer.

    Had another BSOD tonight as well. The webcam was disabled by Kaspersky for "security reasons", whatever that message meant. An online instructions guide stepped me thru re enabling it. I have the memory.dmp file but its 1.39GB, so the forum won't let me upload it. I will run memtest again tomorrow for more than 8 runs.

    The problem device has disappeared in the logs.
    Can't most files can be posted with one drive or drop box share links?
    That would take a very long time to download.
    We may use Windows driver verifier pending the outcome of the Memtest86+ version 5.01 testing.

    The memory dump when debugged displayed 1 misbehaving hardware driver:
    igdkmd64.sys

    1) Download the Intel graphics driver from the Dell website to the desktop
    Support for Alienware 17 R3 | Drivers & downloads | Dell US

    2) Turn off wireless using hardware off if available
    3) Disconnect Ethernet
    4) Using device manager uninstall igdkmd64.sys Intel graphics driver
    5) Reinstall Intel graphics driver
    6) Reboot
    7) Reconnect wireless or Ethernet
    8) Perform Windows updates
    9) Use the Dell diagnostics to test the graphics driver
    10) If there is no BSOD with the Dell diagnostics > increase the stress test using FurMark.
    Aim for 1 hour testing.

    11) Monitor for freezing, temperature changes, and display artifacts and abort testing as needed.
    12) Record test duration and maximum temperature.

    This needs to be ruled in / ruled out:

    Removed and reinstalled the Intel Graphics Driver. Not a BSOD in two days. I will perform the memtest86+ and fumark test tomorrow (needed my system for finals the past few weeks).

    1) make a brand new restore point
    2) update the Macrium backup image
    3) start windows driver verifier
    4) for any BSOD post a new zip into the thread.
    5) plan to run windows driver verifier for 48 hours.
    6) after the last BSOD plan to run windows driver verifier for an additional 36 hours of typical computer use.
