    BSOD on Windows shutdown


    Hey there,

    Recently, I've started to notice BSOD appearing, when I try to turn off the system. After I press shutdown, the log-off screen appears and freezes after a few seconds, followed by BSOD with error message IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL.

    Attached please find log-files of the system. Any help would be appreciated.

    Windows 10 BSOD after every shutdown/restart: KMODE EXCEPTION NOT HANDLED

    Hi,

    I am getting a recurring problem whereby my PC will go into a BSOD whenever I shutdown/restart it. I have tried clean boot and booting in safe mode, but it stills goes into a BSOD when I shutdown/restart. It is extremely frustrating.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Hey again,

    Well to be honest this is a pretty complicated question to answer since I feel like I have been getting many errors due to the same problem. The problem first appeared as a sudden laptop shutdown. The first 2 or 3 times I thought maybe it was my laptop overheating,
    but what made me realize it was a different problem was that windows would try to update every time I turn it on but fail. So I kept using my laptop thinking it would go away but the problem persisted. Sometimes it would just do the sudden shutdown, other
    times I would get the BSOD before the shutdown. Eventually though, it stopped doing the sudden shutdown and I would only get the BSOD errors at that point. To answer your question though, I got the BSOD in the past month (including the times before I reinstalled
    windows) maybe 8-10 times. However, if you count the sudden shutdowns too it would be 10-15. And this is excluding the time when driver verifier was on as you asked.

    Welcome to Ten Forums BSOD forum.

    1) open administrative command prompt and type or copy and paste:
    2) sfc /scannow
    3) dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
    4) chkdsk /scan
    5) When these have completed > right click on the top bar or title bar of the administrative command prompt box > left click on edit then select all > right click on the top bar again > left click on edit then copy > paste into the thread
    6) open device manager > click view > click show hidden devices > expand all rows and look for items that display yellow icons with black exclamation marks > post images into the thread
    7) update Intel dual band wireless using device manager: netwtw04.sys

    8) find the memory dump file: %SystemRoot%\MEMORY.DMP or C:\Windows\MEMORY.DMP

    Use file explorer > this PC > local C: drive > right upper corner search enter each of the above to find results > post into the thread using a one drive or drop box share link.
    9) check the status of each of these problem devices:
    HID-compliant touch screen HID\VID_0457&PID_10CC&COL01\6&35C01671&0&0000 This device is disabled.
    WAN Miniport (IP) SWD\MSRRAS\MS_NDISWANIP 56
    10) Turn off windows fast startup:
    Turn On or Off Fast Startup in Windows 10 Performance Maintenance Tutorials
    11) Update the BIOS from 304 > 305:
