  1. BSOD playing overwatch ntoskrnl related?

    Hello,

I recently got a new graphics card, as well as upgrading my OS to windows ten.

However before and after these actions I receive various BSODs but only while playing Overwatch.

Looking into it they seem to be related to the ntoskrnl.exe process, but I may be wrong.

    Here is the information requested:

  2. Getting a Blue Screen of Death from DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE, I think.

Hello, I've recently been having a large frequency of BSODs all of a sudden. Most occurred after I played the game "Overwatch", but it has begun to occur simply from trying to use some resource-intensive (I doubt more intensive than Overwatch though) software
    as well.

If my memory serves me correctly, I believe the most recent BSOD was a "DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE", but I think I might have seen a "VIDEO_SCHEDULER_INTERNAL_ERROR" or something too.

For now, I'm going to try updating my graphics driver.

On a side note. when I play Overwatch, I have seen the internal temperature hit anywhere from 65 to 80 degrees Celsius. Should I dust my laptop? I believe I need to use compressed air or something.

BSOD While Playing Overwatch & While Streaming (Ntoskrnl.exe & "KMODE_Exception_Not_Handled")

    Hi,

Thank you for providing a detailed and complete description of the issue. The Kmode_exception_not_handled error can sometimes be caused by missing drivers. For us to fix this issue, we recommend to install the missing drivers by following these steps:

    1. Press Windows Key + X then choose Device Manager from the menu.

    2. When Device Manager opens, find any unknown devices, right click them and choose Update Driver Software.

    3. Choose "Search automatically for updated driver software." If that doesn’t work, you may want to try the "Browse my computer for driver software" option instead.

    4. After you’ve installed all the missing drivers, check if the issue is resolved.

Get back to us if you need further assistance.

Warning Programs that claim to update your drivers install either the wrong or corrupted drivers.
If you have installed any driver with Driver Booster 3, please remove them as it may cause trouble.
An easy way to get remove these drivers is by using a restore point prior the installation.

Please temporary uninstall Avira and use Windows Defender as alternative while troubleshooting as a test

Please fill in your system specsPlease follow this tutorial and download the tool. The tool will give you detailed information about your system specs, please fill in your system specs more completely including PSU, cooling and other used stuff like mouse, keyboard, monitor, case, etc.
The PSU, cooling and other stuff are NOT mentioned in the tool.
In the left corner below in your post you find 'My System Specs'. After clicking it you can find a link a little below that says 'Update your System Spec', click on this link to get to the page where you can fill in your system specs.

I have uninstaller the driver booster programme. Sadly I did not have a usable system restore point so I went through my device manager as best as possible and removed drivers, rebooted, and reinstalled them. Of course this may have missed something.

I have uninstalled Avira and other potentially offending antivirus services and am using Windows Defender.

Using the tool I have updated my system specs as best as possible. However the auto-update option seems to only work with the sevenforums and not the current forums.

As for power supply, case, and cooling systems, are there any available means to quickly check these, or will I have to open up my case to complete the system specs for your purposes?

I would recommend to perform a clean installation to properly remove the installed drivers.

These need to be looked up physically, unless you have some administration (like an invoice) that says what PSU, cooling system, etc. your system uses.
