    @Slartybart

    I did that but it's giving me an error message in red. Below is the screenshot.

  2. You ran it elevated - it can't find C:\Windows\System32\Desktop

    Run the same command in a standard PowerShell.

  3. I ran it also without being elevated, and it still gave me the error. I will try again.

  6. The command finished - there's no output because it was redirected to chkdskresults.txt

    Look on your desktop
    attach the chkdskresults.txt file to your next post

    Please follow instructions as they are given (see post# 61)

    BSOD: Possibly caused by Errors on Hard Drive. Not sure...

    There was a few MBs in the bad sectors, they should be recovered if that was required or they are deleted and there have been some other corrections made.
    The problem with the hard drive may not be as bad as I had thought, fortunately, so it is possible that the hard drive can be used for a long period without problems, but as always it is always recommended to backup data regularly just in case something goes wrong like the hard drive failing spontaneously.

  9. Okay. Thank you @axe0. Is that all I need to do?

    For now yes.

    I would suggest to watch the stability for a few days and let us know how it goes after that period or sooner if any problem arrives.

  11. Okay. Well, thank you so much. I will give y'all some thumbs ups (reputation points).

    Thanks Jesse,

    As Axe already mentioned - things look good (bad spots were flagged, data was relocated, and a few security descriptors were repaired), see how the machine runs over the next few days.
