    No I don't use CCleaner.

    I'm using latest NVidia driver from their website.

    I'll send another log file in a sec.

    "Their website" is referring to the website of Nvidia or your manufacturer?

    If you mean the website of Nvidia, please only install the drivers from your manufacturer.

    BSOD SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION (cng.sys) when turning on laptop

    I downloaded from Nvidia because the one from Asus is very very outdated. The laptop is from 2010/2011.
    After all the driver from Nvidia has always been working in Windows 8.1 anyway, so I don't think it cause the BSOD.

    Attached is another log file using Belarc Advisor that hopefully can help troubleshooting.

    That is where you're wrong.
    Windows 10 works not in the same way as windows 8.1
    I assume the driver you have is not 100% compatible with windows 10, try to downgrade the drivers.
    The newest drivers could possibly causing trouble within windows 10, this is a common issue.

    N53SV | Notebooks | ASUS Global

    The driver from Asus website is dated from 2011/09/13 for Windows 7. This will be even more incompatible with the current Windows.

    Anyway, the driver installed was initially from Windows Update, which I then updated from NVidia website which have Windows 10 64-bit support.

    Please try disabling the Nvidia Streaming Kernel Service in msconfig.
    To disable this service in msconfig, press windows logo + r, type msconfig and press enter, go to the tab services, search for Nvidia Streaming Kernel Service and uncheck it, reboot if asked.

    Disabled it.

    I just realised I didn't get BSOD from previous Hibernate but it just restarted itself just before the login screen. Not sure if this is a better or worse sign.

    Anyway, at the moment I'm installing the Asus driver from 2011 to see if it will fix anything.

    Bad idea to install the Asus driver. Now it's stuck in a BSOD loop with DRIVER_VERIFIER_DETECTED_VIOLATION msg.

    Can't do startup fix and system restore. Both errors.

    I get the same BSOD in cng.sys after a wakeup from hibernation. I have the integrated Intel HD graphics in the Corei5 CPU. The laptop is a few years old and had windows 7 but this BSOD only started after the windows 10 upgrade.

    UPDATE:

    Did another clean install and doing hibernate after every settings and programs and found the cause of the BSOD.

    It was ....drumroll.... Hyper-V.

    So when Hyper-V is enabled from windows features, the next hibernate-wake will show BSOD. Hyper-V itself works without issue. Just that it will cause the BSOD from a hibernate.

    For the moment, I've turned off Hyper-V until I can find the fix for this.

    If anyone got any fix, let me know *Smile

    Probably not the answer you want to read, but most likely you have to wait for Microsoft to fix this problem.
    They are aware of this kind of problems, more people are having this issue.
