  1. BSOD to Sys Repair Loop

Ok, as of yesterday Feb 9 I got a blue screen of death and tried to restart after it loaded all the info but it only made my situation worse.

Whenever i shut my computer and reload it- the loop gets stuck. So of course i try to pull up the command prompt or sys config- but whenever i press F10 or F8- it wont work.

Surprisingly it worked when i pressed F2 a few times but that was before it got caught onto the sys repair loop.

I let the sys repair run its course- i guess it finished at some point but when i came back to it- the circles were frozen again. So now whenever i try to do the hard reset and get into advanced options- it either doesn't work or it keeps pulling up "Attempting system repairs".

Sometimes it gets to the screen and whenever i click continue- it now gets stuck at the diagnostic or attempting repairs.

Literally, I don't know what triggered my computer to break on me- i wasn't using it-i had it on but nothing was being used as i was my PC at the time when i went to go check something on my laptop and that's when i saw the BSOD.

I should've took a picture of the code- im sure the code meant sys shutdown or something.

    I have a:

    Inspirion 15 3000

    Windows 10

    4 GB Ram

I bought this computer through my college last fall semester so its still new. I've had a few times where system32 would go crazy a few times or Id have to go back to a restore point through thr system but other than that-i never had this problem.

    Please help.

    :)

  2. Automatic Repair Loop

    Hi Charlene,

Your concern regarding the device going into an Automatic Repair Loop can be caused by change on its settings/configuration or broken system files. To effectively assist you with your concern, can confirm if you've made any changes on your device prior to
    your concern?

As an initial step to get back into the normal Windows screen, we suggest that you perform a
Startup repair. The repair will attempt to fix any broken components/files which may prevent your device from booting properly. To do this, follow the steps below:

    • On theAutomatic Repair screen, select Advanced options.
    • Select Troubleshoot.
    • Select Advanced options.
    • Select Startup Repair.

We'll appreciate if you can send us an update.

BSOD Memory Management results in automatic repair loop

Memory management BSOD resulted in laptop rebooting. Since then, I am stuck in an automatic repair loop.

I canot get Win10 to run, only access to the Recovery Environment:

    • I have tried to roll back to a previous restore point, but this failed and will no longer work.
    • Start-up repair continues the automatic repair loop....
    • Start-up settings doesn't alter the startup options regardless of which I select.
    • Memory tests appear ok, however from what I can determine using the cmd prompt, there is a problem with the system finding the Win10 OS correctly (bootrec /scanos)
    • SFC & DISM/online fail to function.
    • Chkdsk seems ok.

Does anyone have a pointers as to what to try next?

    Many thanks.

    Windows 10 Repair Boot Loop

    Hi Jed,

If your computer is stuck in a boot-loop state of Windows, it could mean that automatic repair isn't able to repair a corrupted or broken system file, but attempts to repair it over and over again. For us to assist you properly in resolving this boot-loop
state, kindly respond to the questions below:

    • Did the issue occur even after removing the USB wireless mouse?
    • Aside from running DISM, what other troubleshooting steps have you done? This is for us to know and to avoid any duplication of efforts on your end.

We look forward to your response.
