    BSOD WHEA_Uncorrectable_Error

    Another update:

Installed Windows 7 64 bit home edition on the other SSD to see if it was isolated to win 10. Everything went ok with the install and the first set of drivers. Installed them and rebooted. I setup the desktop and checked a few programs and everything works ok.

I try and launch chrome and windows stops responding and gives the same 0x124 BSOD (except in windows 7).

Should i maybe reinstall chrome? Or is this something else im not seeing?

    Thanks for the help Axe!

You installed w7, open chrome and a bluescreen, but a bluescreen doesn't occur in w7. That is how I read it and it confuses me.

Yea my last statement was worded weird. The error happened in windows 7, and is still happening this morning. I do have a question about the hardware i installed.

The two ssd's are on a power strip with 3 sata plugs. Does it matter which of the two plugs these go on? What about the order?
There used to be 3 ssd's on this machine, but now there are only 2. However, one of the old sata cords is still attached to the motherboard, but with no drive plugged in. Is this ok or should i take it out?

I'm not too familiar with current hardware and setups and am not sure if any of that matters a whole lot, but its really the only thing I can think of hardware-wise that could be causing issues.

According to your motherboard specs there are some possibilities for connections.
    Attachment 50713

What connections are in use exactly?

I don't think it is important what sata plug you use, unless there is a broken one.

I would take it out to just reduce the possibilities of causes, although I don't really think it could cause problems.

Should be 2 x SATA 6Gb/s connectors for both SSDs
    Then 2 x SATA 3Gb/s connectors for dvd-drives.

I'm going to open it up here shortly and check everything to make sure all components are snug along with taking out the extra SATA cord.

So unplugged the machine and looked inside. There are two SATA cables and one labeled AsLink? Not sure what that is, but one of the drives had a SATA cable plugged in while the other had the AsLink cable plugged in. It's pretty much impossible to get the cable out since everything is zip tied and wired professionally. I took out the ram and reseated it. I checked the graphics card as well as the sound card and didn't seem to find any problems there.

I plugged in both SATA cables leaving out the AsLink cable and the computer will not boot now. It boots up for about 2-3 seconds, turns off, and repeat.

I tried to go back to the original configuration with the AsLink cable and the computer still won't boot.

I unplugged all plugs including monitor plugs and same thing, the computer will no longer boot.

It means you haven't seated everything back in properly or something has been damaged.

Have you grounded yourself before you opened the case and kept grounded?
