Windows 10: BSOD when enabling Virtual Machine Platform on Windows 10.0.19043

HiI'm attempting to get WSL 2 installed using the manual steps at https://docs.microsoft.com/en-ZA/windows/wsl/install-win10 but am unable to enable Virtual Machine Platform on Windows 10. Windows Subsystem for Linux installs fine.CPU is a Ryzen 7 4800HBIOS doesn't have any hypervisor settings, but System info reports the below...I've done all Windows updates and updated all the Tongfang drivers to the latest.When I attempt to enable Virtual Machine Platform have tried 5 times now, after rebooting I always get a BSOD on startup, and have to rollback to a restore point to get my machine

BSOD when enabling Virtual Machine Platform feature

Hi,

I've recently bought a new laptop (with a Ryzen 7 4700u) and I've been trying to install WSL2 but with no success so far.

Following the guide from the
Microsoft Docs, I get a BSOD with the following error SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED after enabling the Virtual Machine Platform feature. I've tried reinstalling the drivers, resetting and formatting the laptop. I've tried upgrading to the latest insider
build (thinking it was a Windows 10 2004 problem) but I still get the same BSOD.

I've checked the event viewer and I get 3 errors (I've exported it
here)

How can I solve this issue?

 

Can't enable"Virtual Machine Platform"

I'm running Windows 10 on ASUS FX705DY AU072T.

Windows doesn't boot after enabling "Virtual Machine Platform" and just shows a black screen after showing the windows 10 logo during boot.

I've tried it on updated version 1909 and also after updating to version 19041.264 I can't use WSL 2 because of this.

How can this be fixed?
