    Do you use both display outputs on your laptop? If not, try disabling the one not being used from BIOS Setup or Device Manager.

    Also, don't forget about running Driver Verifier as Spectrum mentioned.

    I downloaded the correct drivers, use both display outputs and I ran Driver Verifier.

    Let Driver Verifier run for up to 48 hours. If no verifier induced BSOD by then disable it.

    It induced a BSOD upon shutting down.

    The latest dump shows a problem with McAfee: mfehidk.sys..
    Code: ffffda80`f988e068 fffff803`1c13f606*** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for mfehidk.sys *** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for mfehidk.sys mfehidk+0x2f606[/quote] Uninstall McAfee anti-virus.
    Make sure Windows Defender and Windows Firewall are enabled.

    Run that way for awhile to test, see if that resolves the problem.
