Windows 10: BSOD when Printing from Word 2016

Hey all

Have a issue where printing a document from work 2016 caused the machine to Blue Screen … Only happen on specific documents.

Any Ideals or Suggestions?


Windows and Office fully upto date … Latest driver for the printer …. not happening to all machines.

If you're having issues printing colored documents in Word, we suggest checking the Printer properties and try changing the default settings. You can visit this
thread and look for Doug Robbins and Stefan Blom's suggestions
regarding this concern.

Word, Excel and Adobe wont print

To further troubleshoot your printing concern, we suggest that you create a test user profile. Using the test user profile, try to print an Excel, Word and Adobe file.

To create a test user profile, follow these steps:

• On Search, type Setting then hit the Enter key.
  
• On Settings window, select Accounts.
• Select Family & other people.
• Select Add someone else to this PC.
• Name the user profile as TEST.
• Assign a password for TEST user, then select Next.
• Sign in TEST user.

Please take note if you will experience the printing issue on TEST user.

How can I change Word 2016 default print settings?


Hi Victek,

In Word 2016, I don't think you can. I know for example if you're printing say a report, you could tell it to only print the report and not the cover page and/or to omit the table of contents. Other then that it's not an option.The only way would be if it was buried under Word 2016's many dialog boxes.
