Windows 10: BSOD when switching user accounts

I get a BSOD stating dxgmms2.sys failed when switching from one user account to another if I try to play a video. This occurs when the video starts in many apps, including Netflix, Hulu, Edge, etc.

This only happens if another user is signed in and we switch users. It does not happen if one user logs out then the other logs in.


I have a GTX 1070 with the newest drivers installed.

  Do you receive any error message/code?
  
• 
  Did you make any changes to the computer prior to this issue?
  

I suggest you to follow the below steps to Switch users.

• 
  Press Ctrl + Alt + Del key altogether.
  
• 
  Click on Switch User.
  
• 
  Select the user with which you want to login.
  

If computer starts up with a user other than the one you want, login to that user account and switch user to the account that you need and check.

My admin account switched to a user account!


My account may have gotten corrupt in the update, Don't know for sure.
I do know this, This mess is way above my paygrade...LOL...
I really need some help to try to fix this issue.
The attachments can explain far better than me trying type what exactly is going on.
All I can say it's looks pretty darn complicated to me.
I hoping it looks worse than it is.




















I think the simplest way to address this is to make my account an administrator again.
If it can be done, I'm going to need a step by step on how to do it.

Switching User Account in Windows 10

Follow the steps to switch user account without logging out or restart.

• On Left bottom corner, Click on Start button
• From the Menu screen, go to the TOP. [This should have the name of the user current logged in].
• Right click on Current User... Or change to other user.
