    BSOD when turning off receiver, nvhda64v.sys has failed.


    So I reinstalled a fresh copy of windows 10 and I am not getting a BSOD when I put the computer to sleep or when I turn off the receiver (the playback device does not dissapear also). So now I can go ahead and update everything but the NVIDIA audio driver to see if that is the final culprit? Thank you so much for your help so far! *Biggrin

    So I have done some testing and I have found the specific problem. I had to install a newer version of my NVIDIA audio driver to play DTS-HD MA 7.1 on my receiver. The latest NVIDIA drivers 378.49 and 378.66 have the NVIDIA High Definition Audio driver version 1.3.34.21, which was causing the BSODs and playback device to dissapear. By installing the previous version before it, 376.33 which has the audio driver version of 1.3.34.17, the problems dissapear.
    Thanks again for your help axe0. Perhaps you may have some speculation why this problem was occuring in the first place, but if you think it is on NVIDIA's end, then I will just sit on this driver version and wait.

    Since it's a driver issue that went away after a version change, it is on Nvidia's end.
