  1. BSOD when using camera on windows 10

Whenever i open the camera on Windows 10 Pro i get a BSOD and my computer restarts, i am using the webcam from my Lenovo Thinkpad T440P. I tried to use Verifier, I tried to use the Windows Bootup Menu and I even used Safe Mode, and now I am stuck in an infinite loop of BSODs and my only choice is to reinstall Windows 10 Pro.

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

my camera disappeared with Windows 10 update

    Hello,

I appreciate for trying the troubleshooting steps for resolving the issue, as a next step I would suggest you to follow the below method and check if it helps.

An outdated or incompatible driver can cause this problem. As an initial step, I suggest you to visit the manufacturer website and install the latest driver for Windows 10.

If the driver for Windows 10 is unavailable, you may install the latest driver in compatibility mode.

Compatibility mode runs the program using settings from a previous version of Windows.

    Follow the below steps:

    • Right-click
on the setup file of the driver and select Properties.
    • Select Compatibility tab.
    • Place a check mark next to
Run this program in Compatibility mode

    • Let the driver install and then check the functionality.
