Windows 10: BSOD when using uTorrent

Hi!

I've read countless posts in countless forums since I downloaded Windows 10 like a half a year ago and this error started to happen, but I haven't yet found a solution.

So - I am using HP ENVY 15, and after I upgraded to Windows 10 I started having an error, when sometimes when having utorrent with active torrents running in the backgroud my windows just crashed to BSOD randomly showing error "PAGE FAULT IN NONPAGED AREA".

I upgraded all my drivers to the newest, installed an older (supposedly more stable) version of utorrent, but the problem still happens. Also, it doesn't happen for all the torrents, just a few. I saw a post about the same issue for dell computer, and some people claimed that they found the solution by replacing a certain driver (I guess Network driver), but I cant find such driver for my HP laptop. If you have any more ideas I could try to fix this, please let me know.

EDIT 1: I deleted the old network broadcom adapter and installed the newest one which I downloaded from HP's homepage, but BSOD happens anyway after 10-30min of downloading. If someone knows where to download older versions of Broadcom 2x2 802.11ac Network LAN Adapters please let me know.

Blue screen error in Windows 10

Funny thing is my PC always seems to BSOD when utorrent is on...

 

cannot run utorrent installer after updating to windows 10?

I used windows 7(Utorrent worked properly)

I was updated to windows 10

Utorrent did not open so I downloaded Utorrent from Utorrent website

When i double click Utorrent setup file it says "Windows find 'D:\Downloads\uTorrent.exe' Make sure you typed the name correctly and then try again."

Plz .. help me

 

Could you be more specific on the model? The model given shows many different laptops.
Could you also check if HP has BIOS updates please, your laptop could use one.

Daemon tools, Alcohol 120% and Power Archiver Pro uses SCSI Pass Through Direct (SPTD), which is a well known cause for BSOD's.
Please remove Daemon Tools and run the SPTD pass through remover.

• Uninstall Daemon Tools
• Download the SPTD standalone installer and follow these steps:
  • Double click the executable to open it
  • Click on the button shown below

If the button is grayed out, like in the image, there is no more SPTD installation on your system, and you can close the window.

 

Thank you for the answer! Could it be possible that, even though I have an old bios version, it still is the newest possible? Because I tried updating via HP official homepage just now, but it doesn't show up bios upgrades in upgradable stuff, which means that I have the newest version, as I understand.

And by the way, I think I fixed the issue. But I am not sure yet, I'll wait for a little longer and if I won't get any BSOD's, I'll post it here.
