Windows 10: BSOD Whenever Playing Games

Whenever I am playing games sometimes my PC will BSOD. I get a couple different types of errors like SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION and KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED just to name a few. I've had this issue for years but it used to happen very infrequently but now it will happen on specific games consistently.


I've tried doing a chkdsk which repaired some stuff but didn't fix the issue. I've also tried sfc /scannow. All my drivers are up to date as well. I was trying to use driver verifier which caused DRIVER_VERIFIER_DETECTED_VIOLATION 2 times then it said "detecting issues" then "repairing" with my motherboard's logo above it but I'm not sure what to do next.

• Does the BSOD occur while playing a particular game?
• Is the game downloaded from Windows Store?

I suggest you to update the Graphic Card drivers by following the steps provided below and check if it helps.

• Press Windows key + X, select Device Manager.
• Expand Display Adapters.
• Right click on the driver and select Update Driver Software.
• Follow the on-screen prompts to update.

Follow the instructions to run driver verifier again from BSOD while playing games, but now use these settings instead.

• Force IRQL checking
• Pool Tracking
• Security Checks
• Miscellaneous Checks
• Power framework delay fuzzing
• DDI compliance checking
• I/O verification
