Windows 10: BSOD while playing dota2

Hello everyone.As the title of the thread says i get Bsod only when i play dota2 and after a while , maybe i wont get in first game for example but i keep going for 2-3 hours playing i will surely crash with a bsod and after restarting my pc and reconnecting it will keep just randomly freeze the game and force me to end dota2 task and re-open it and it goes like that...Attachment 120068

Hello Muhammad,

We understand the inconvenience you have experienced.

From your description, I can see you telling that the problem is specific to Dota2 game. I mean to say, the issue won't appear when playing other games. I suggest you to check this issue by uninstalling and reinstalling the games again to see if it makes
any difference. This might give us the clue on the root cause of the issue.

In case problem still persist, try to reproduce the issue by keeping your computer in Clean Boot state.

A clean boot is performed to start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This helps eliminate software conflicts that occur when you install a program or an update or when you run a program. Follow the
below mentioned steps to perform Clean Boot:



a. Press Windows Key, type
msconfig in the search box, and hit Enter.

b. On the Services tab of the
System Configuration dialog box, tap or click to select the Hide all Microsoft services check box, and then tap or click
Disable all.

c. On the Startup tab of the
System Configuration dialog box, tap or click Open Task Manager.

d. On the Startup tab in Task Manager, for each startup item, select the item and then click
Disable.

e. Close Task Manager.

f. On the Startup tab of the
System Configuration dialog box, tap or click OK, and then restart the computer. Now see if the same thing happens.



If a service is causing issue, I suggest you turn on 5 services at a time, reboot and then see if the problem reappears, keep repeating this until you find a group of 5 services, which are causing this issue, then check the one
by one, till you find the one which is causing your issue. Perform the same divide and apply for
Startup's too.



Refer the below article on "How to Perform Clean Boot". As the article is designed for Windows 8.1,
Windows 8 and Windows 7. Unlike launching step for 'System Configuration', options and steps to Clean Boot are same for Windows 10.



Note: After you finish troubleshooting, refer "How to reset the computer to start normally after clean boot troubleshooting" from the same article.

Unfortunately there are no crash dump files that we can analyse. It is possible that you are inadvertently deleting them by running CCleaner which often deletes these files unless you uncheck the setting to remove minidumps.

Try posting again after you have had a few more events and upload a new file.

 

Alright , truth is i used ccleaner recently ..i will upload as soon as possible

So i reset my pc yesterday hoping to fix it but unfortunately again i got BSOD again today .I uploaded the new files hopefully u can find something and help me because i have no clue what it is and how can i fix it..Thanks in advance

 

The crash seems to be related to the graphics driver.

The best way to do this is to uninstall everything of Nvidia using Display Driver Uninstaller and install new drivers from your Graphics card manufacturer or from the NVidia website. If you fill in your system spec details we will then know what you have and can often provide links or check out the manufacturer's recommended drivers.[/quote] I have filled my system spec details , and i am going to uninstall the drivers now and install them in safe mode i think its better that way,but how can i find which GPU driver is recommended so i wont have any more crashes ?I would apreciate a lot if you could help me find the most ''stable'' driver so i wont have anymore crashes..Thanks in advance

 

Who is the manufacturer of your graphics card?

There seem to be two cards listed:

N470GTX Twin Frozr II
and
N470GTX-M2D12

Which one is yours?

 

at the program Aida64 says Video Adapter MSI N470GTX (MS-V222) , its definately not the twin frozr

 

The last driver recommended on the website for this device is Version 306.97 from way back in 2012!

My suggestion would be to go back to a version 362.00 from March 2016 and download from NVidia. Try it and if it works you can gradually try newer versions.

If it does not work then you may have to download the old 306.97 version from off the MSI website. Remember to use the method I showed you earlier for uninstalling and installing the drivers.

 

Alright mate i will try 362 and if it doesnt work ill go for 306.97 ..Thanks in advance i will report back as soon as i get any results
