Windows 10: BSOD while playing FORZA 7, error DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE

Hello,

I recently faced my second BSOD in month while playing a game, this time it was Forza 7. I am also running the latest Nvidia driver 388.43 for my 980 Ti. Can someone please analyze the attached logs to check what is causing the issue exactly.

Games not showing up in App Libary

Hello,

I purchased and played Forza 7 and Horizon 3 on my PC a while ago, and all was well. Recently, I upgraded my motherboard/CPU so these games would play even better, however when it was all installed and my new Windows 10 License was accepted, I tryed to play
Forza 7 and an error would pop up and the games would not load. I looked up the error, which I do not remember now, and read that it could be fixed by uninstalling and reinstalling the games. After doing so, this error was poping up before Forza 7 would finish
installing. 0x803FB107. After getting agitated with it, I cancelled the download of both games, as Forza 7 was giving this error and Horizon 3 hadn't finished installing. I then went to reinstall the games again, and now neither game is coming up in my Library.
Can someone please help me?

Windows 10 Installation Error [Error Code: C1900101-40017]

This is exactly the same error I have. I also get a BSOD as well saying DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE.

I've tried the installation multiple times (at least 7 now) with all of the standard fixes, and nothing has worked.

Make sure the "clean install" box is checked and only the graphics and PhysX drivers are installed.

Memtest86+ version 5.01 is not run by time but by passes.
The more the passes the better the test.
The computer has 16 GB RAM with 2 8GB RAM modules.
Memtest86+ version 5.01 takes approximately 1 - 2 hours / GB RAM
Just 1 error is a fail and you can abort testing.
Then test 1 RAM module at a time in the same DIMM for 8 or more passes to differentiate good from bad RAM.
9) Use a camera or smart phone camera to take a picture of the results and post an image into the thread.
