    BSOD while playing games - some games more than others


    Been getting Blue Screens of Death since about October while playing games and it seems to be isolated to online games so I've been going around fixing whatever drivers I could but it still seems to come back at least once a week or so and it's a bit annoying. The error I get is as follows:


    The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x0000000a 0x0000000000000048, 0x0000000000000002, 0x0000000000000000, 0xfffff80751cfcb38. A dump was saved in: C:\WINDOWS\MEMORY.DMP. Report Id: 0160685a-e915-4040-b661-ac054b38f5e1.

    Any help figuring out the error code would be nice as I'd like to be able to figure out what drivers are conflicting.


    BSOD error code is IRQL NOT LESS EQUAL or something to that effect

    Please share the information requested below:

    • Does the BSOD occur while playing a particular game?
    • Is the game downloaded from Windows Store?

    I suggest you to update the Graphic Card drivers by following the steps provided below and check if it helps.

    • Press Windows key + X, select Device Manager.
    • Expand Display Adapters.
    • Right click on the driver and select Update Driver Software.
    • Follow the on-screen prompts to update.

    BSOD while playing games

    Follow the instructions to run driver verifier again from BSOD while playing games, but now use these settings instead.
