In the 'Boot' tab, there is an option 'Launch CSM'.

Enable it. It will allow you to have Legacy boot from the USB.

    Attachment 90510

When the test is done, boot into the BIOS setup once again, 'Save & Exit' tab > Restore Defaults. Otherwise Windows will refuse to boot.

  3. Hi,
I did the RAM test continuously for 8 passes and all of them are pass. Here is the image for the test.Attachment 90669

    BSOD while using google chrome.

    Very well done! *Thumbs

Now give it a time. Observe how it goes. Let us know for any further BSOD.

  5. Thanks for the help. So does this mean that my laptop has no hardware problems and the actual cause for BSOD is the wireless driver?
P.S> Should I mark this thread as solved?

You had an improper wifi adapter driver installed. Yes, that was definitely the cause of the BSOD.

I made you test the memory, because it was accompanied by a few memory errors. Those memory errors may cause by the failing RAM as well the mismatch driver. So the test was needed as a caution; which is nicely passed.

Now, if you think that the computer is not getting a BSOD after applying the proper driver, feel free to mark the thread as solved. If the issue bounces back, unmark it and continue. *Smile

  7. Okay I will mark the thread as solved for now.
    Thank you.

  8. BSOD while using google chrome.

Progress after 1 week......I got another BSOD "DPC watchdog violation" today. I was watching youtube in google chrome then my system started to freeze and I couldn't do anything. So I turned off the laptop by holding the power button and my laptop started with the BSOD.

Arc will stop by soon. Meantime, I noticed there is a BIOS update for your PC. You have ver 207, ver 209 is available, dated 2016/04/01.

Also noticed you have a lot of very old drivers. Some of that is normal but some is probably leftover from upgrading from Win 7 or 8 to 10.

  11. Should I update my bios? How to identify and upgrade my old drivers?

Hang on a bit and see if Arc stops by. If not then I'd say go ahead and update the BIOS.

As for the old drivers, you can look at what is available on the ASUS web site and compare those dates to what Device Manager shows you.

If this was my PC I would backup my data and do a Windows 10 - Clean Install

I can't find a link for updating the BIOS. There are BIOS updates and a BIOS Update Utility on the web site but I don't see any instructions. Nothing in the users manual either.

Edit: I did find a youtube tutorial for ASUS computers. Take a look at it.

How To Update your ASUS Computer / Laptops BIOS! - YouTube

The person who recorded it is not the best and jumps all over but the basic ideas are there.
