Windows 10: BSoD while waking up from hibernation in windows 10

Hi,

Today while my PC was waking up from hibernation, it showed BSoD. Well, it may be not a death screen for pc itself but for users, it's like a mini heart-attack. As prevention is better than cure, I want to know the reason behind this and how to prevent this from happening in the future.

So, after showing the BSoD, the windows restarted itself and booted up properly. I immediately opened the Event Viewer and sorted the logs for the last hour. I am gonna attach all the logs in .txt and .evtx format.

Extra details:
1. This happened to me first time in case of hibernation
2. PC was in hibernation for like 1 or half-hour.
3. I turned on hibernation after a long time two days ago. But everything was fine for the last two days.
4. I am using a WD Black M.2 NVMe SSD.
5. Windows 10 version - 19042.630
6. There is no update pending in Windows Update settings.


Tell me if I need to provide more details. I have a dump file but it's 1.2 GB approx in size. I can provide a compressed .rar version if needed.

S4 (hibernation) USB/network wake up

Hi,

I have this annoying problem. When my computer enters the S4 powerstate (hibernation) I can wake it up by just clicking with the mouse. Even when EuP is enabled the mouse can still wake up the computer. After a night of sleep I find the computer powered on. So not only can the mouse wake up the system, it also seems that network traffic can too.

I thought that hibernation was like power off but with the option to save the RAM to disk. At least before I always need to push the power button to boot after hibernation.

Any suggestions?

Windows 10 randomly waking from hibernation

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

Step 1: Stop the Network from Waking Your PC

a. Press Windows key + X and select
Device Manager.

b. In Device Manager, under
Network Adapter, Right click and select properties.

c. Go to the Power Management tab. uncheck the box that says: "allow computer to turn off this device to save power".

d. you'll find an “Allow this device to wake the computer” check box, which you should uncheck.

Step2: Run the
Power troubleshooter.

Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with power. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your Power.

Refer these steps:

• Press Windows key +X, select Control panel.
• Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons.
• Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel.
• Run the Power troubleshooter.

BSOD/Slow wake when waking from sleep/hibernation

Any suggestions?
This BSOD is continuing and happening more frequently...
It has to point where it is pointless to sleep/hibernate as it crashes everytime when waking up... having to shutdown everytime and booting up takes ages
