Windows 10: BSOD while watching streams

I also changed my USB Network Adapter to one that has Windows 10 compatibility and updated the driver to the latest version.

That possibility is present, it mainly depends on the changes though but looking at the changes it is a change that helps stability *Smile

 

Great! I've been watching streams for a while and it seems to be fixed for now, I'll update this thread if I encounter any freezes/BSODs.

FYI, freezes aren't the same as BSODs and we usually don't help with them in this section of the forum.
Freezes leave only the 'unexpected shutdown' log behind (event id 41) and don't generate a dump or something which we use to analyze crashes, the same is with restart/shutdown crashes and as such they can be more difficult to troubleshoot as there is less data you can get a lead from.
BSODs leave dumps behind because a function for it is being called for prevention of corruption or when corruption already has occured (happens sometimes) to prevent more corruption. With a freeze, shutdown or restart this function isn't, or rather can't be, called because it isn't a crash where Windows can prevent data loss.
