What is the support page? The current provided information is not enough for me to find a specific support page.

Please fill in your system specsPlease follow this tutorial and download the tool. The tool will give you detailed information about your system specs, please fill in your system specs more completely.
In the left corner below in your post you find 'My System Specs'. After clicking it you can find a link a little below that says 'Update your System Spec', click on this link to get to the page where you can fill in your system specs.

I failed with your tutorial. Then I tried with HP Support Assistant which reports all drivers are up to date. Then I tried with Windows update which also said everything is up to date. Eventually I went to device manager and managed to update the Broadcom driver from there. I am attaching a dump file for you to tell me if my Broadcom is up to date.

Meanwhile I will launch torrex (which always give me a BSOD) to see how it works

Unfortunately updating the Broadcom driver made no difference. I got 2 BSODs this morning before shutting down the laptop in disgust.

    Any help would be appreciated

No problem, but to clarify the tool is written for Windows 7 Help Forums . This means that you need to fill in the system specs manually, because the Windows 10 Forums is a different site.

So, what to do is the following:

    • Copy the information the tool provides
    • Go to this page, it leads to the page where you can edit your system specs, and paste the information, then at the bottom click 'Save changes'.

I will update my template and post so it'll be more clear how to fill in the system specs *Smile

We'd love to help, but we'll need more information provided to provide any suggestion that would be at least close to useful.
I would suggest that you whenever you post about new BSODs, use the DM Log Collector again and upload a new zip file. The DM Log Collector collects all information we need so we can analyze the data and provide proper help *Smile

BSOD with Torrex on one laptop but not another. Both running win 10

With your previous instructions to collect data I would end up on windows 7 forums. I changed to win ten forums and logged in. Then when I click Set Info nothing happens.

Here is the latest dump file of this mornings crash, after updating the Broadcom driver

    Please advise.

Please do not use any program, even if it is from the manufacturerYou're lucky with device manager *Smile

Please answer my question so I can provide better support for you, currently I cannot check myself because I have no idea what laptop model you have.

Please find the latest dump including the last crash of 10 mins ago. Plus a screen capture of the laptop model and specs, and a picture of the BSOD message.

  14. According to the specs, this machine has a half card BT / 802.11

Wireless Connectivity: 802.11a/b/g/n/ac (2x2) and Bluetooth 4.0 combo (Miracast compatible)
HP ENVY TouchSmart 17-j190nz Notebook PC Product Specifications

I think you want this driver
    BT rls notes: http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp7150...0/sp71995.html
    BT direct dl: http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp71501-72000/sp71995.exe
    NOT this driver:
    Dual band rls notes: http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp7200...0/sp72009.html
    Dual band direct dl: http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp72001-72500/sp72009.exe
Maybe you need both - not sure, but I think the Dual band driver is for a machine with different HW

Side question - how does the machine behave WITHOUT the torrex UWP app?

Sorry for the delay in responding but when I tried updating the Broadcom driver it said the installed driver is a newer version. I forced the installation from my laptop specific HP drivers site and lost all wifi connections. After trying to install, reinstall and creating new connections etc.. (3 hours of work) I connected the laptop to an Ethernet cable to get the internet back. So my laptop became a desktop.

I went to the HP site and re-installed ALL the drivers and got wifi connection back. I attach here the Dump file as of a minute ago.

In answer to your question the laptop performs well and is stable without Torrex. But then I went down the support road with Torrex with no resolution. I came to you eventually because last Friday I bought another laptop (Lenovo 13") with win 10 and Torrex runs smoothly with no BSOD.

So the problem must be with the drivers of the HP with Win 10.
