  1. Bugs from previous computer

I bought a new computer with what I thought was the best antivirus I could get. I had a double check in system and a unknown person was still able to get in and change my setting along with adding a keylogger. I bought 2 more computers and got rid of the computer with XP that was "the master computer". I still have problems with the elements of the old computer that I had recycled on my new one. What can I do to get rid of all traces of the old computer other than a complete reset. My computer will not allow the folders to have the files in them as well there are so many files that I open and they are empty. I would delete these however if I do it may change what is working. I do not like that I never know if I can leave and come back to where I left off. I hate that the computer makes changes because of these bugs. Should I throw in the towel and get rid of everything, since the person responsible for this stupidity is no longer here?

    :)

  2. Taskbar bug: switching to another window -will not appear at the front

Follow either of these steps to fix the issue with the Active window hiding behind.

    Method 1:
I suggest you to disable window by hovering over it with the mouse and check if it helps. To do so I suggest you to try the below given steps and check if it helps:

    1. Press Windows key + X key and click on Control Panel.
    2. Select or click Ease of Access.
    3. Click or tap onEase of Access Centre.
    4. Click on Make the Mouse Easier to Use was uncheck Activate Window by hovering over it with the mouse.
    5. Check if issue is resolved.
    Method 2:
I would suggest you to completely uninstall the touchpad driver and reinstall it. Kindly follow the below given steps.

    1. Press “Windows key + X” and click on “Device Manager”.
    2. In the list of devices, you should see the touchpad drivers.
    3. Right click on the device and then select "Uninstall".
    4. In the uninstall dialog, make sure you select the option to delete the driver package from the system. This causes the driver package installed earlier to be deleted.
    5. In the Action menu of Device manager, select “Scan for Hardware changes” option. This will cause the device driver to be reinstalled. Once the driver is installed, close all windows and restart the computer.

  4. Bugs from previous computer

    reverting to previous build/version

    Hi,

Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Community.

I would appreciate if you could answer few questions to narrow down the issue.

    • When the computer did froze? Is it when you tried to roll back?
    • Did you receive any error message?
I suggest you to remove all the external devices plugged in to the computer and check if it helps to resolve the issue. If the issue persists, please restart the computer and check whether it rolled back or not. If it loads Windows 10,
I suggest you to download the latest ISO of Windows 10 and perform automatic repair.

    http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

    Steps to perform repair:

    a) Insert the installation DVD or USB
and boot Windows 8 from it.

    b) In the ‘Windows setup’ page select the language to install’, ‘Time and currency format’ and the ‘keyboard or input method’ and click on ‘next’.

    c) Click on ‘Repair your computer’ and select ‘Troubleshoot’.

    d) Click on ‘Advanced options’ and select ‘Automatic Repair’ and select the operating system.

If you really would like to rollback, I suggest you to refer the below article on How to go back to the previous operating system (Windows 7/8.1) from Windows 10.

    Thank you.
